Context
Greggs is a much-loved brand, growing more and more every day. So much so, you can now find them in selected Primark shops across the UK, in the form of a trendy new cafe. Greggs wanted us to make 'Tasty by Greggs' the most Instagrammable place to stop while you shop.
Solution
We created a new dining experience featuring plenty of tasty photo ops for those fancying a cheeky Steak Bake. This included Sausage Roll swings, neon lights, doughnut tables, interactive phone boxes and customised illustrated murals.
I was set the task to illustrate a mural for the Newcastle shop that perfectly embodied the history of Greggs in their home city.
I did this by creating a modernised timeline that includes some of the most interesting facts and figures of Greggs history, along with a range of fun supporting illustrations. The timeline starts with a telescope looking into the history of Greggs that people can take a photo with to post on their socials.
This then led to customising illustrated murals to other shop locations, including Liverpool and Bristol.
